## Planning your food packaging

Packaging design brings together the product name, brand identity, visual presentation and the information customers need to use the product. The design brief should identify the food, intended sales channel, destination market and proposed pack format.

## What to include in your design brief

Share your logo and existing brand guidelines, product list, preferred languages, pack dimensions or supplier dieline, and reference examples. Identify which product information is already approved and which details still need confirmation.

## Product information and artwork review

Ingredients, allergens, net content, preparation instructions and storage information must match the actual product. Confirm market-specific labeling requirements with the responsible business or qualified adviser before approving artwork for printing.

## Confirm the project scope

Discuss the required artwork formats, design revisions, packaging material and printing arrangements with our team. Confirm deliverables, responsibilities, timing and quotation for your project before work begins.
